Job description
Exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our 27-year-established, Private Practice in the heart of Wokingham. This post is available as, sadly, a well-loved team member is moving to another part of the UK.
Who can apply?
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN THE UK.
We will consider all grades and experience - from new graduate to more experienced candidates. We will offer close support for new graduates and 1:1 mentorship for all levels of candidate. You will not run out of things to learn from an amazing team of practitioners with up to 30-years of experience. We are looking for someone with a commitment and passion for lifelong learning and continuing professional development. Funding available for CPD as well as in-house CPD and mentorship with experts in varying specialities.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is open-minded, reliable and able to
gel with an existing friendly team.
Caseload and autonomy:
We have nurtured great relationships with local consultants and GPs whilst the majority of our work is through reputation and word of mouth. Motivated patients often self-refer and are looking for the best treatment they can get. Consequently, we deliver care to self-pay and insurance patients only – no NHS contracts.
With a predominantly MSK caseload, the more junior candidates will have the opportunity to develop skills across a wide spectrum of spinal and peripheral problems. There is also potential to specialise if you are refining your areas of interest. We believe in allowing you to grow and evolve in your own unique way and will work with you to promote your own clinical niche if you are looking for that specialisation. You would be encouraged and supported by our marketing / admin assistant to contribute to social media posts , you tube and other online promotion. We will help you share your enthusiasm with the world! The practice is owned and run by an experienced clinician who acknowledges that clinical freedom and autonomy to treat people thoroughly is vital to facilitate growth and allow your passion for caring to flourish.
Ability to treat people to their fullest potential:
Are you sensing the connection of mind and body and want to learn how to work in a much deeper and holistic way? Perhaps you are frustrated that you can only treat one condition at a time, treat online or only have a limited handful of sessions? If so then this job is for you. For the new graduate or someone less experienced you will have access to a full spectrum of spinal and peripheral MSK caseload to consolidate your knowledge to date.
We are a friendly, family feel, independent Practice (not corporate chain) and believe in holistic health - getting to the roots of problems and not just putting fires out. Are you desperate to work where you can really treat people to their optimal - maybe even better health than they have had for years? Not just a few sessions to patch them up and get them out as quickly as possible? Interested in spinal and peripheral problems or perhaps chronic and complex integrated health, trauma therapy and somatic therapy or perhaps women’s health or sports and conditioning - we have experts in each of those fields and a reputation for this work?
1:1 Mentorship on Weekly basis / as required / desired with lead clinician and other clinical specialists
Appealing workplace:
Our setting is a beautiful, converted period building in central Wokingham – frequently cited as the best town to live in. You will have your own spacious room and access to a rehab gym space and facilities for gait analysis and movement therapies. A parking bay comes with the post and access to a comfortable shared staff area.
Ideally, we are looking for a full-time candidate but can consider 2 part time people if suitable candidates apply.
