I first came to RD Physiotherapy in 2001 and after having an emergency operation to remove a tumour from my spine in 2002 there was only one place to deal with the various issues the operation left me with. Over a period of 3 years Rodger Duckworth worked his magic to alleviate the pain, headaches and restore flexibility to my spine. This allowed me to continue my life better than I had hoped.

Scott suffered a severe brain injury in 1981 and we have struggled to fill his physiotherapy needs since then - usually having to travel to find a suitable facility.

The Rodger Duckworth Physiotherapy Practice has always been willing and eager to help from their start. The joining of Jane Mellor is the icing on the cake for Scott.

Having a "Neuro physiotherapist" is an important step forward for any physio practice. As the age of the population increases and accidents of Scott’s sort sadly continue to happen there will be an increasing demand to provide continuous physiotherapy of this type. The NHS service is to my experience always under pressure, awkward and unfriendly to use making it hard if not impossible to source some care in the years following a brain injury.

The cost of Jane’s service is far out-weighed by the advantages of continuity, easy access, availability and adaptability coupled with a very pleasant, caring manner.
